De Ford Escort is een klassieker in het TAMIYA-assortiment. Deze heruitgave is een aangepaste straatversie van de originele kit 58335 uit 2004 (toen WRC-versie). De 1998 Ford Escort werd oorspronkelijk aangedreven door een 4 cilinder 2 liter motor met 500 pk.
Het 1:10 schaalmodel van de 58691 TAMIYA is gebaseerd op het TT-02 chassis. Met deze wielbasis zijn bodemvrijheid, spoor en overbrengingsverhouding instelbaar en met de talloze optionele tuning-onderdelen kan het chassis snel worden afgestemd op een racer. De 4WD-aandrijving met centrale as, dubbele draagarmen en veerpoten op alle vier de wielen zorgen voor een voorbeeldgetrouw rijpatroon en de beste tractie. TAMIYA presenteert het CC-02 chassis (Cross Country), nu in de versie met een Mercedes Benz Unimog 406 carrosserie.
Het CC-02 chassis is gemodelleerd naar de echte terreinwagens en heeft een frame chassis, conus differentiëlen voor en achter en een 4-link ophanging. De starre as voor en achter maakt het model bijzonder offroad en de 4 CVA oliedruk schokbrekers vangen eventuele oneffenheden perfect op.
Een krachtige 540 motor, die achter de vooras is gemonteerd, zorgt voor de aandrijving. Dit zorgt voor een goede gewichtsverdeling bij het offroad rijden. De versnellingsbak is ingekapseld in de motor en brengt het vermogen via beweegbare cardanassen over naar de voor- en achteras.

The Tamiya TA series continues to evolve. This iteration, the TA08 PRO, further evolves on-road touring car driving with this hopped-up chassis. The slim TA08 PRO Chassis Kit eliminates the need for an upper deck, which balances weight and rigidity. Its layout features the motor in near identical position to the TRF420, with the spur gear in front of the motor. Newly designed upper & lower arms make effective use of tire grip, equipped with laid down SSBB (Super Short Big Bore) dampers. Het lichaam komt in de vorm van een opnieuw ontworpen Avante. Het deelt zelfs de leuke achtervleugelnaam: "Being Nuts is Neat!" En de voorkant van het geheel nieuwe TD-4-chassis deelt een ontwerp voor de horizontale demperlay-out, vergelijkbaar met de originele Avante, behalve dat, deze keer, de voordempers zich onder de carrosserie bevinden. De stijlvolle body is ontworpen door Kota Nezu, die heeft bijgedragen aan een aantal populaire Tamiya-producten.

springs, and durable ladder frame. This R/C model assembly kit recreates the 1972 Land Cruiser FJ40V which
is one of the most popular cars in that series.

kit based on the TT-02 chassis. The fourth generation Toyota Celica lineup was joined by the high spec GTFour (ST165) model in October 1986. With the same streamlined hatchback coupe form, this car was powered
by a transverse, 185hp 2-liter DOHC turbo engine with water-to-air intercooler, and employed full-time 4WD
equipped with a center diff featuring mechanical lock function. In 1990 global rally races, this car achieved five

Made of super elastic plastic to absorb shocks well, high-grip off-road wheels and equipped with the finest technology, the vehicle leaves nothing to be desired. • NEW - Alloy chassis design with a much shorter overall length.  This allows for reduced chassis scrubbing along with a significant weight reduction from beyond both front and rear axles.  These benefits allow the car to enter a corner more effortlessly and when in the corner, rotation is achieved more freely.  
• NEW - Upgraded left and right rear hex wheel clamps to prevent any wheel wobble issues.  Now perfectly true running wheels with our unique single nut rear wheels/solid axle!
• NEW - Servo mounting has been improved, resulting in direct mounting for the Sanwa micro range of servos such as the PGS-HR and SRG-HR.  Direct and easy alignment onto the centre of the car.  In doing this the chassis flexibility characteristics have been vastly improved, for performance and strength, by removing the large, off centre transverse slots previously used.  All other brands of servo still can be used with the ultra-lightweight floating servo mount, included.
